Candidates who have passed B. Pharm can apply with valid GPAT score. Candidates without GPAT have to sit for Institute's Entrance Test.
M.Pharm is a post graduate degree course related to pharmacy field that one can opt after successful completion of B.Pharm degree.
India is fast becoming a leading player in the global pharmaceutical sector. So plenty of opportunities will be offering and many students will be able to find jobs in India & abroad. M.Pharm. and Ph.D. holders are in great demand in different fields of pharmaceutical research and development. Quality control and quality assurance are the important areas of the drug and pharmaceutical industry where highly qualified pharmacy professionals are required.
To keep abreast of the international patent acts all pharmaceutical companies require to have their own R&D facilities with trained staff. They also require trained R&D staff to manufacture and market their own drug molecules and/or formulations. So there are plenty of opportunities in the R&D sector for M.Pharm. and Ph.D. students in India and abroad. The students will be involved in Research and Development of new drug molecules, formulation development, patent search, clinical research, quality assurance and regulatory affairs, etc.
M.Pharm. students are eligible to join as lecturer in diploma, degree and post graduate pharmacy institutes.
