Honourable Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to Commence the Inauguration of the `JIS School of Medical Science and Research` in Santragachi, Howrah on July 24

In a historic accord inked at the esteemed `Bengal Global Business Summit,` JIS Group, in tandem with the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal, and JIS University, has unveiled plans for a groundbreaking Medical College & Hospital named `JIS School of Medical Science and Research` in Santragachi, Howrah, with an impressive ₹1500 crore investment.

The JIS School of Medical Science and Research, currently aligned with Howrah District Hospital, is poised for a momentous remote inauguration from the Dhono Dhanyo auditorium, Kolkata, on July 24, 2023, by the Honourable  Chief Minister, Smt. Mamata Banerjee. Several Ministers-in-Charge and top government officials will grace the event. With the endorsement of the esteemed National Medical Council, the institution shall annually accommodate 150 aspiring medical students.

This visionary establishment seeks to diversify educational prospects, embracing Nursing, Paramedical, and Pharmacy courses. The JIS School of Medical Science and Research aspires to expand into a state-of-the-art 1200-bed hospital, heralding a new era of superior healthcare for the wider populace of West Bengal.
